We suggest doing some research. Take your time to search around the website to learn more about our approach to treatment. Get a feel as to whether our practice would be a good fit for you and your goals. Once you are ready to take the leap, contact our office to book a free intake consultation and assessment. This appointment is typically 20 to 30 minutes. It is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and to ensure we are a good fit. Ahead of this appointment, we ask that you reflect on your reasons for accessing therapy and that you have 2-3 goals you can share. We encourage you to ask questions. After all, we know that for many the first meeting can be nerve-racking.
Once we confirm that we would like to work together, we will discuss how often to meet. For most clients, this will be once a week; some clients request twice a week, or every other week. Together, we will take steps towards your goals at a pace that feels reasonable and attainable. When you have met your goals and feel that you no longer require therapy, we would work on a transition plan to end our therapeutic relationship.
